The Cefriel SB is responsible for receiving all reports of conduct it considers improper or even illegal.
Indeed, in accordance with Italian Legislative Decree 231/2001, any individual (whether internal or external) who has dealings with Cefriel may submit detailed reports to the SB, provided they are based on specific facts of which they have become aware by reason of their duties, in order to safeguard Cefriel’s compliance with the law.
Reports are handled such that the confidentiality of the whistleblower’s identify is guaranteed; direct or indirect retaliation or discriminatory acts against the person submitting the report, for reasons which are directly or indirectly connected to the report, are also prohibited.
Cefriel’s internal regulations set out severe sanctions against those who violate measures taken to safeguard the whistleblower, together with those who submit reports, through willful misconduct or gross negligence, that prove to be unfounded.
