Information security

We analyze, design and develop tools for the overall information security, by integrating technical, managerial and juridical-legal expertise.

We develop, integrate and test innovative technologies and processes in solutions where diffusion is inhibited by security requirements, for example, processes in the distributed infrastructure, electronic notary and e-procurement.

We work with projects of technology transfer to companies in sectors where confidentiality, integrity and availability of information are critical issues.

We share the acquired expertise in projects with security managers and professionals in business and public administrations in our High Level Training Course in Information Security Management.

Public Protection

In the Public Protection sector, we design, develop and promote technologies and services for Public Protection operators in the risk chain: the prediction, prevention, planning and management of emergencies.

We are involved in research and development activities through direct cooperation with organizations of Public Protection on a national and international level (e.g. the Civil Protection and Fire Department, Local Police, among others). We map users' needs into specialized and integrated technological solutions. We create systems based on safe and reliable wireless communications, integrate these technologies in applications to handle critical and extreme conditions, including remote control rooms. We optimize procedures and protocols to exploit the potential of technologies in the best way possible.

We develop projects in collaboration with enterprises to create wireless pre-industrial systems based on technologies and protocols adapted to emergency situations.

We participate in pan-European research projects focused on the development of mobile solutions that guarantee the service continuity even in disaster conditions.

We organize and manage educational activities throughout the area of Public Protection (from telecommunications to the environment and territory) for national and international operators, integrating our expertise with the know how of Lecco Campus of Politecnico di Milano in the area of the phenomenology of risk and intervention (floods, landslides, earthquakes, fire and chemical disasters).
